Yesterday morning, the meeting of promoting the digital and green transformation of manufacturing sectors of Jiaxing was held in Tongxiang to further study and implement general secretary Xi Jinping’s speeches on the high-quality development and digital and green transformation of the manufacturing sector, further put into operation the spirit of the 15^th Zhejiang Provincial People’s Congress of the CPC and the ninth Jiaxing Municipal People’s Congress of the CPC and promote the digital and green transformation of the manufacturing sector to make Jiaxing’s manufacturing sector greener and more advanced and intelligent at a higher political stance and with more effective measures and greater efforts, take the lead in industrial competition and contribute more to local economic stability and quality improvement. Li Jun, deputy secretary of the CPC Jiaxing Municipal Committee, and mayor of Jiaxing attended the meeting and delivered a speech, and Ni Huping, deputy mayor of Jiaxing, presided over the meeting.

The meeting stressed that general secretary Xi Jinping made a series of speeches on building a strong country of the manufacturing sector, developing digital economy and promoting carbon peak and carbon neutrality, which serves as our guideline to promote the digital and green transformation of Jiaxing’s manufacturing sector. All localities and departments should deepen the understanding of those speeches to ensure the digital and green transformation marches in the correct direction, realize well that accelerating the digital and green transformation of the manufacturing sector is required by the central government and by the CPC Zhejiang Provincial Committee and Zhejiang Provincial People’s Government and is to meet the urgent need of Jiaxing, therefore we should put the digital and green transformation of the manufacturing sector in a strategic and overall place and strengthen our senses of urgency and responsibility.  

The meeting stressed that green and digital transformation should be taken as the focus and key to promote the high-quality development of the manufacturing sector and ensure that remarkable results will be achieved. We should make progress in upgrading the "No. 1 Project" of digital economy, accelerate the digital transformation in all aspects, upgrade traditional industries, vigorously construct factories of the future, make precise efforts in promoting carbon peak and carbon neutrality, accelerate the transformation of energy conservation and carbon reduction, improve the efficient utilization of resources, actively develop green and low-carbon industries and products, stimulate the driving force in the process of innovation and highlight the innovation of ideas, technologies and models; we should provide more supports to optimize the allocation of factors of production, issue more favorable finance and taxation policies and make financial services more accessible.

The meeting required that efforts should be made to strengthen leadership, establish the unified work pattern across the city to ensure the implementation of all tasks, strengthen enterprises’ principal roles, encourage enterprises to seize opportunities to be stronger and better in the process of digital and green transformation, establish public evaluation mechanisms, strengthen publicity, improve the awareness and attention of the whole society and create a strong favorable atmosphere for the digital and green transformation and the high-quality development of the manufacturing sector.

Before the meeting, the participants of the meeting visited Sam Fashion Co., Ltd., listened to the experience introduction made by such companies as Tongkun, Xin Feng Ming Group, China Jushi, Jiaao Green New Energy Co., Ltd, Fuying Composite Co., Ltd., and Shuanghuan Company. At the meeting, they watched the video of the achievements in Jiaxing’s promoting digital and green transformation of the manufacturing sector; Bureau of Economy and Information Technology of Jiaxing made work arrangement. The government of Tongxiang City, Minshi Group, Qinglian Food and Huayou Cobalt made exchange speeches and those three enterprises were awarded as “Practice Base of Future Factories”

The meeting took the form of video conference, and the representatives from each county (city, district), Jiaxing Economy Development Zone and Jiaxing Port Zone attended.
